SYSTEMS AND THE ATEX

DIRECTIVE

We recently gave a presentation at the Gericke technical seminar on the safe design of powder systems, in accordance with the ATEX directive. The Seminar was aimed at operators and specifiers of plant and equipment and examined the main principles and codes of practices required by the ATEX Directives 1994/9/EC (ATEX 95) and 1999/92/EC. The guest speakers represented expertise from various areas of the process engineering industry and gave practical information relating to the requirement of the plant operator under ATEX and DSEAR, including area classification and product testing and also the duties of equipment manufacturers in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC A copy of the presentation entitled Dust Testing for DSEAR Compliance may be downloaded in pdf format.
